sara stejskal 

Soprano Sara Stejskal has sung throughout the world in
repertoire ranging from Pamina to Turandot and almost
everything in between, though she feels a particular
connection to the operas of Strauss, Wagner and Verdi. She
has been called “a voice of beautiful lyric line and dramatic
power” (Shoreline Enterprise).

Ms. Stejskal was most recently seen as Chrysolthemis in
Elektra with New York Dramatic Voices, Kitty Hart in Opera
Idaho’s Dead Man Walking and The Mother in Amahl and
the Night Visitors with Idaho Falls Opera.

International roles include Contessa Almaviva (Le Nozze di Figaro) and Donna Anna (Don Giovanni) at Lyric Opera Studio Weimar and Konstanze (Die Entführung aus dem Serail) at Music Bavaria Festival.

During her graduate work at Temple University Ms. Stejskal performed Arminda (La Finta Giardiniera) and Knusperhexe (Hänsel und Gretel) under the batonof Valery Ryvkin. While a young artist at Hawaii Opera Theater, she participated in the school outreach program of the Mikado, covered Liu in Turandot and played Miss Pinkerton in the live HPR broadcast of Old Maid and the Thief. Other notable roles include Brünnhilde and Sieglinde (Die Walküre), Brangäne (Tristan und Isolde), Rosalinda (Die Fledermaus), Fiordiligi (Così fan tutte), and many more. Her concert works include Strauss’ Vier Letzten Lieder in Eureka Springs, Arkansas, Finzi’s In Terra Pax and Verdi’s Requiem with Hawaii Vocal Arts Ensemble and Théodore Dubois’ The Seven Last Words of Christ at St. John’s Cathedral in honor of their Centennial.
